I’ve got to say chemistry; it was always fun to be the only one in the class to know most of the elements of the periodic table.

If you won $100 million, what would you buy first?
An airplane of course; who wouldn’t love to travel on first class all the time?

If you had to choose just one place to vacation every year for the rest of your life, where would it be?
Europe, visiting the Mona Lisa every year at the Louvre in Paris would be a treat.

What is your proudest accomplishment?
Hearing my girls telling me how proud of me they are, and being an inspiration to them, will always be my biggest accomplishment.

What are some of the different jobs that you have had in your life?
Before opening Uptown Children’s Boutique, I worked for one year at a high-end retail shop and then held a human resources and accounting position at a local employment agency for seven years.

Do you have a favorite quote or saying that inspires you?
Hard to choose as more than one inspires me, however, “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time,” by Thomas A. Edison is my motto.

Who was your childhood celebrity crush?
It was, and actually still is, a character from a comic book: Bruce Wayne.

Which store would you choose to max out your credit card?
Macy’s, what’s not to love about having more than 50 pairs of shoes?

The last concert you attended?
A Gilberto Santa Rosa concert on Valentine’s Day this year, salsa is one of my passions and I love to dance.

If you could give one piece of advice to your 10-year-old self, what would it be?
Don’t rush, it’s always better to be a 10-year-old, so enjoy.
