27 Aug Las Vegas community comes together for ‘9th Island Love For Lahaina’ fundraiser
Las Vegas is coming together to show support for the long rebuilding efforts in Maui.
The Downtown Container Park was the site of the ‘9th Island Love For Lahaina’ Maui Strong fundraiser, where vendors, food trucks, and performers went to show their support.
According to event organizers, proceeds from sales will go directly to the Maui Fire Relief Fund. The Salvation Army was also present during the event to collect donations.
The Asian American Pacific Islander Chamber of Commerce told News 3 that the goal of the event is to show the 9th Island spirit of ohana, which translates to family. Read the article / Watch the segment
