Tony Hsieh immortalized in Las Vegas mural, bust for his 50th birthday

A mural and bronze bust of the late Tony Hsieh, former CEO of online shoe and clothing retailer Zappos, was unveiled in downtown Las Vegas last week.

Commemorating a legacy: DTP Companies organized a series of celebrations on Dec. 11, known as “Tony Hsieh Day,” to mark what would have been the entrepreneur’s 50th birthday. He passed away at the age of 46 in a house fire in Connecticut on Nov. 18, 2020.

The festivities included the renaming of the Zappos Council Chambers to “Tony Hsieh Theater,” an art car showcase and a musical variety show at Downtown Container Park, among others. Read the article
